For 50 years we have been growing and installing turf from our turf farms in Australia.

At StrathAyr we pride ourselves on a passion for turf and creating beautiful and functional green spaces. We are a world-leader in the construction of sports fields and race tracks because of our unique natural turf technology to ensure turf stays pristine and healthy in all seasons, even in times of high use.

From what began as a small turf farm in Tasmania, Australia, now has bloomed into a major natural turf solution provider to Australia, USA, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, China and many other countries worldwide.

1968

Our first turf is planted and sold in Tasmania at our namesake, the ‘StrathAyr’ turf farm.

1972

Expansion to the new turf farm and office in Melbourne, Australia.

1988

International business begins when BAyr Root (soil free) Turf was air freighted from Australia to Hong Kong for the resurfacing of the Sha Tin Racetrack.

2018

StrathAyr are a major natural turf solution provider to Australia, USA, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, China and many other countries worldwide.

StrathAyr’s Victorian and Tasmanian turf farms provide the full range of turf varieties, which we have used to create beautiful green spaces for homes, councils, sports stadiums and racetracks alike.
